Colette Henry, Strategic Planning Director

So much focus is put on the work we produce, so we thought it would be nice to introduce some of our team who are behind making sure it’s effective, beautiful, brave, and often internationally acclaimed.  We’ll start at the beginning of the process with Colette Henry, Strategic Planning Director.

Colette Henry leads our strategic planning department at McCann Dublin.  An experienced Strategic Planning Director and AdFX award winner who has worked internationally with some of the largest global consumer brands, she is passionate about creating positive change in the world.

What Colette did…

Having secured a degree in Business Studies and two First Class Masters’ (MSc. Advertising from TU Dublin and MSc. Social Cognition (Psychology) from University College London) Colette has been in the communications industry for 18 years, and draws on a diverse career in brand strategy, consumer research, life coaching and sustainability.  Businesses across all five continents have benefited from her ability to translate sharp problem solving and empathetic understanding of the audience into effective communications.  Her experience covers FMCG, banking, retail, technology, cars, fashion and public services.  She is an expert qualitative researcher with extensive experience in managing full projects, moderating interviews and delivering powerful results.

She spent several years in London where she worked on global brands like Nestle, Lancome, Danone, Diageo and Tork, and whilst in the position of Board Planning Director at JWT in London she led a team of 12 senior planners throughout the world on global brand strategy for HSBC.

What she loves most

A skilled and engaging presenter, she has particular interest in coaching young planners and has given guest lectures at Greenwich University, DCU and TU Dublin over the years

She is most passionate about working with organisations that have a strong core focus on sustainability.  She worked with Futerra; an established sustainability consultancy and creative agency in London, and provided strategic direction on several sustainability campaigns for L’Oreal, and with Danone globally as they worked towards B Corp.
